This basketball season we are changing up halftime! We want to invite all students, staff, and parents to come out and take part. During basketball halftimes, we will be raising money for Cupcake Cutie (Addy) to assist with her fight against Brain Cancer. Here are the details:
During the girls’ halftime, we will be playing a game of Gotcha. The first 10 people to pay a dollar and sign up at the gate will get to play. The winner will get a prize and his or her name will go into the drawing for the grand prize at the final home game.
For the boys’ halftime, we will have a line for 5 minutes to shoot half court shots. Each shot is a dollar, and we will fit as many people as we can into the five minutes. If you make the shot, you win a free pizza, your name will go on our half court wall of fame and will be put in the drawing for the grand prize at the final game!
Come out to our home games this season to support our teams, invest in a good cause, and have some fun!
Here is a bit more about our cupcake:
At the age of 3, on July 27th, 2012, Addy Clark was diagnosed with Multi-Nodular Pilomyxiod Astrocytomas. She has 3 tumors, one tumor located on her brain stem, one located on her optic nerve and one on the back-right side of her brain. She has undergone many surgeries in the past few years. She has completed chemotherapy and radiation.
Addy loves to visit KDDC and visit with the office staff.
We know that we could have never made it this far without God. He has carried us each step of the way. We count it a blessing that He chose us to walk this path. Please pray for our sweet girl and our family as we go through this journey!
